Initial Consultation

  • An initial consultation is scheduled. 
  • An active exchange of ideas of about your style functional requirements.
  • A proposal is submitted detailing scope, fees and schedule.
  • Upon approval a contract is submitted, once signed the design process begins.

I. Concept/Schematic Design

  • The space to be designed is measured and photographed.  
  • Concept presentation using mood boards, drawings and material samples.

II. Design Development

  • Approved concept is refined with specificity and detail.
  • Surface materials and interior architectural elements are finalized.
  • Sourcing of furniture, fixtures and equipment are finalized.
  • Detailed design drawings are developed to convey the design intent.
  • Initial cost estimating for construction and purchasing begins.

III. Design Drawings

  • Drawings and specifications as required for design of the project.
  • Coordinate with general contractors, architects and vendors. 
  • Finalize cost estimates of all items to be purchased.
  • Submit sales orders for items to be purchased. 
  • Place orders for materials, furniture, fixtures and equipment.

IV. Construction Administration

  • Scheduled meetings with contractors, consultants and clients.
  • Site visits to check project is being built according to drawings.
  • Review contractor submittals and vendor shop drawings.
  • Coordination of purchased items being warehoused before installation.
  • Punch list walk-through with client and general contractor on completion.

V. Installation

  • Coordination of installation dates with warehouse and client.
  • Supervision of delivery and installation of all warehoused items.
  • Optional 1-2 days of shopping for additional accessories or art.

We are practicing safety guidelines and social distancing. We currently can offer the design process virtually. We recommend working with general contractors and vendors who are implementing and offering safe practices during the building and construction process.
